Our History

World-Link Solutions, Inc., also doing business as OneStopTel, was founded in the State of New Jersey on May 22, 1992 as a C corp., and received its Federal Communications Commission 214 license (FCC 214) to operate as a facility based carrier in the USA.

During those early days of global telecom deregulation, World-Link grew quickly as a niche carrier designing and operating international voice and data networks using traditional legacy technologies, such as TDM (time division multiplexing), circuit switched and packetized voice over international dedicated circuits. World-Link sold retail telecom services directly to residential end users as well as wholesale services to large industry partners.

World-Link's wholesale business during the early years included:

  • One of the industry's first int'l voice resale networks via New York, Helsinki and Moscow, Russia during the early period of glasnost and industry expansion in that region.
  • An efficient stock trading voice network for the Rio de Janeiro Stock exchange to economically execute trade orders between their Rio based operation and New York based financial companies and market makers.
  • Networking of a modern, profitable cellular network in the country of Lebanon which leapfrogged wired technology of the day, to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) through World-Link's New York network node.

During the middle to late 1990's, World-Link was known as a marketing innovator by launching retail sales programs targeting ethnic residential households and early adoption of client segmentation and data base marketing techniques

World-Link Solutions' former wholesale service offering was based on finding, installing, operating and marketing int'l network capacity to other telecom carriers and industry players. Known as "buy low - sell high" or "international voice termination" business model, it was the primary service offering and revenue producer for the company.

In 2005, as part of the company's changing business model, World-Link has transitioned international network termination business to Vnet or Virtual network service, which is a new service bundle available to ALL telecommunication service providers worldwide. Along with Vnet, World-Link now offers complimentary OneStopTel Int’l LD Service. These services are a combination of proprietary software and telecom switching technology that is unique in the business. This service bundle is bolstered by the major ongoing trends of globalization and outsourcing that are rapidly developing throughout the world.
